When Planting annuals and vegetables you first have to determine when frost dates are over.
Waiting until June 1 in Colorado to plant is the safest bet. A few feet of snow may fall in late March, April, or even May with temperatures in the 60s a few days later.
For annuals you will be transplanting from pots, flats ,or six-packs. It’s safe to plant when the last frost date has passed. For seeds that are expected to sprout in two weeks, plant the seeds two weeks prior to the last frost date.
Colorado’s high altitudes and highly unpredictable weather make it an exciting place to live and garden!
